Living Life to the Fullest
A group based on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a relatively new form of therapy which helps you relate differently to your feelings and thoughts. The aim of ACT is to maximize human potential for a rich and meaningful life.
ACT does this by:
- Teaching you skills to deal with the thoughts and feelings effectively in such a way that they have much less impact and influence over you
- Helping you clarify what is truly important and meaningful to you (i.e. your values), then use that knowledge to guide, inspire and motivate you

3…2…1…ACTION!
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:
This group is based on a treatment approach called Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). At its most basic, this approach is about developing new skills to deal with painful thoughts and feelings in a way that allows you to live a rich, full and meaningful life. You can do this by changing your relationship with your thoughts and feelings, rather than trying to change your thoughts and feelings.
Specifically, in this group we will help you to explore various ways to be more present, open up to painful thoughts & feelings and do what matters to you in your life.
