Single Session
ABOUT THIS SERVICE:
Single Session is a specific form of counselling, conducted by our Mental Health professionals, who use their clinical skill-sets and knowledge-base to address a patient’s presenting concern, within one session.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SINGLE SESSION:
You will work together, with the mental health counsellor, to explore the things you’ve tried before to resolve your current problem to:
- Identify and expand upon what’s worked for you before
- Explore your current coping strategies to see if they are helping or hindering your progress towards a life well-lived
The mental health counsellor focuses on your strengths & skills and helps you to identify/practice tools that you can use now – to get yourself unstuck. In addition, the Single Session highlights your resiliency factors (the building blocks) in the process of moving you forward in life – in a direction that aligns with what is most important to you. Knowing that you can come into a Single Session to solve a problem with a ‘right here, right now’ approach is a very empowering experience.
