Care for the Caregiver
ABOUT THIS GROUP:
Are you caring for a loved one?
Are you exhausted by your care-giving role and have no time for yourself?
Do you want to make the most of the time spent with the person you are caring for?
This Caregiver Program Series, as adapted from the Caregiver Network of Niagara, is a 5-week group for adults offered to support and guide caregivers in their care-giving role.
During this series participants will learn ways to feel more empowered and confident by building and improving skills as a caregiver.
When it’s offered:
The next 5-week group starts on Tuesday March 16, 2021 from 2:00pm – 3:30pm on ZOOM (FULL)
How to get involved:
Capacity for this program is limited! Before you register please note this program is 5 weeks long. Please check your calendar and make sure you can attend all 5 sessions. Please reflect if this is a good time for you to take this program and if you have the time to practice the concepts learned in the sessions each week, before you register.

Registration will be offered as first-come, first served. Successful registrants will be contacted by phone by our Mental Health Nurse to confirm their participation. We will hold a limited wait list for the next group class.
After speaking with our Mental Health Nurse, patients who are successfully registered for the group will receive an e-mail and will need to complete our electronic consent form and the official ZOOM registration before the group start date. Registered participants will also receive information about how to access the weekly group handouts on our website.

COVID-19 UPDATE:
The risks that COVID-19 present means that the majority of of visits have and will continue to be done virtually either over the phone or using a video visit, whenever possible.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic our Care for the Caregiver group will be offered over ZOOM. For participation in this group a device (computer, phone, tablet) with audio and video capability are required.
