Watch for signs of heatstroke:
- Body temp over 103°
- Fast, strong pulse
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Confusion
- Nausea, vomiting
- Passing out
If you suspect heatstroke:
- Get indoors as soon as possible
- Lie down and elevate your legs
- Apply cool towels to your skin or take a cool bath
- Drink lots of water or a sports drink
- Take off extra or tight clothing
If you don’t feel better within an hour or so, seek medical help. Don’t hesitate to call 911 or go to the hospital if it doesn’t improve or worsens.
