Heart Healthy Eating

Our Heart Healthy Eating workshop is offered by our Registered Dietitians.

Live Heart Smart

Our Live Heart Smart group is a shared medical appointment offered by our Dietitian and a Medical Doctor.

The Live Heart Smart Program was designed as a fun and interactive group educational session for patients with high cholesterol who are interested in improving their heart health.

With no such thing as a silly question, we hope you will participate in shared discussions about making better everyday choices for a healthier you. Our team of friendly health professionals will make learning more about your heart easy and enjoyable for every kind of learner. You’ll be amazed at what you can learn.

Hypertension Consultation

This program is for you if

  • You have been told that you have high blood pressure
  • You are interested in preventing high blood pressure
  • You would like to learn how to measure your blood pressure
  • You would like to know more about lifestyle effects on blood pressure

What the hypertension program has to offer

  • You will learn about blood pressure and risks associated with high blood pressure.
  • You will learn about your numbers, and what you can do to prevent high blood pressure
  • You will how to measure your blood pressure at home
  • You will learn about the links between blood pressure and sodium, physical activity, healthy eating, stress effects and coping strategies
  • You will learn about medications used to treat blood pressure

When it’s offered

Currently the program is offered on an individual basis by appointment with a Nurse Practitioner.

Plans are in progress to provide group education sessions about high blood pressure and heart health. Please check back for updates on the group program.
