Caring for someone can be rewarding but also stressful.
Caring for your own well being is one of the most important – but often neglected – things you can do as a Caregiver.
Speaker Bio: Denise Verreault began her tenure with the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region five years ago as a Francophone Family Support counselor. She is currently the Director of Education for the Society, and brings forth over 18 years of experience of both professional and personal experience working with and for persons living with cognitive changes and their care partners.
In this interactive workshop participants will have an opportunity to discuss as a group strategies for self-care. We will discuss the effects of caregiving, tips and strategies to ensure caregivers are taking time for self-care including sleep, nutrition and exercise.
Join us on Tuesday September 11, 2018 at the NOTL Community Centre for a 2.5 hour workshop. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. There is no fee to attend but pre-registration is required.
